Fun at Festivals!

We're wrapping up festival season here at Lily Music Studio. It's been busy as students memorized and polished their music! Above, you'll see students who participated in Federation Festival. They memorized and performed at least two pieces which were played in front of a judge. All students received Superior or Excellent ratings on their solos! We're so excited!
Below, you'll see two students who represented our studio at the JMTA (Jacksonville Music Teachers Association) Sonatina/Sonata Festival. They memorized one movement of a sonatina and performed in front of the audience and a judge. These kiddos were excited (and nervous) to perform on the stage with the Steinway! What a great experience!
Congratulations to all of these students for their bravery and dedication to their music! It's not an easy thing to perform for others and I'm so proud of their effort!

February 22-23, 2019
Sixteen Lily Music Studio students performed at the annual Federation Festival this year! They all did a wonderful job preparing for this event and represented our studio well. Events like these bring such a sense of accomplishment and are worth the effort of learning, polishing, and memorizing several pieces of music. These students will have fond memories of this for years to come!
This event is sponsored by the National Federation of Music Clubs. You can find out more about this organization here. They offer many opportunities to students, including performance and scholarship opportunities.
2016-2017: “A Musical Year”

Weeks Twenty-Nine through Thirty-Four
These last few weeks have been busy and full of student successes! We’ve been wrapping up the school year by playing games, improvising, recording the last videos for our annual celebration videos (parents receive these as their end-of-year gifts), and more. Here’s a glimpse into our last few weeks of the school year:
Our last group class of the year was full of fun rhythm activities:
Federation participants received their Gold Cups and certificates!
grade students have enjoyed collecting composer trading cards this year (they received one card for each practice chart they completed). We’ve learned about a lot of composers!
grade students earned $58.90 that will be donated to churches in Europe to help them afford the tools needed for a music ministry. We are blessed to be able to give to others!
Students have grown so much this year. They've learned a lot of music but more importantly are developing a love of music that will go with them throughout their lives!
